The Reservation Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST
Closed for all State holidays.

Please note that Mondays are the busiest day of the week for the Reservation Center, as most people tend to call that day. If possible, please make your calls on Wednesdays or Thursdays, when telephone traffic has slowed.

Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and can be made up to 11 months in advance. American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, in-state checks and money orders are accepted. A $6 non-refundable fee will be assessed on each reservation made, online, via phone, or as a walk-in. An advance deposit of a single night's stay is required for each facility reserved, and must be received within ten days of the date of the request or the reservation will be cancelled. Deposits will be applied to the first night's or day's use. For reservations made 10 to 11 months prior to the arrival date, the entire reservation balance must be received within 30 days of the date of the request.

Reloadable gift cards are now available, and can be purchased at your local state park. The gift cards can be purchased for any value with a $5 minimum, and are a great way to share the gift of Louisiana State Parks with your family and friends.

Reservations can be made 11 months to the day in advance online at www.reserveamerica.com or by calling the reservation center at 877-226-7652.

If it is September 11, 2009, then the reservation arrival date cannot be later than August 11, 2010.

For example: A reservation can be made on Friday September 11, 2009 with an arrival date of Wednesday August 11, 2010 and a departure date as late as Wednesday August 25, 2010, for a maximum of 14 consecutive nights.

Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism - Office of State Parks

Should someone make the above reservation, the site would no longer be available the nights of Wednesday August 11, 2010 through Tuesday August 24, 2010.

For example: If your arrival date is Saturday August 14, 2010 the first opportunity you would have to make your reservation would be Monday September 14, 2009, three days after the person arriving on August 11, 2010. Therefore, the site would not be available to you, because the person arriving on August 11, 2010 has booked over your arrival date.

Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism - Office of State Parks

The Reservation Center is closed Saturdays, Sundays and all State holidays. Since reservations cannot be made more than 11 months to the day in advance, then you would need to wait until the next business day to make those reservations through the Reservation Center.

For Example: The first opportunity to make a reservation with an arrival date of Friday August 13, 2010 would be Monday September 14, 2009, because September 13, 2009 is a Sunday and the Reservation Center would be closed.
