LT. GOV. LANDRIEU ON THE ZURICH CLASSIC
“The combination of quality golf and Louisiana’s rich culture makes the Audubon Golf Trail (AGT) a really treat for tourists. Comprised of 10 challenging and diverse courses, the Audubon Golf Trail encourages visitors to come to our state for premier golfing. In 2004, the AGT made a $38 million economic impact for the state with nearly 220,000 rounds of golf played on its courses.
“One of the AGT's newest courses, the Tournament Players Club, hosts the Zurich Classic.
“Clearly, the Audubon Golf Trail is one of Louisiana’s unique assets. Golfing contributes significantly to our economy, quality of life, and efforts to attract tourists.”
