LT. GOV LANDRIEU JOINS NBA FOR DAY OF SERVICE

Service Projects Bring Out 2,500 Volunteers

NEW ORLEANS- Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu will join NBA and WNBA stars, Commissioner David Stern and others in New Orleans for All-Star Weekend. Events include Friday's Day of Service, with over 2,500 volunteers participating in ten service projects throughout the city, and Sunday's All-Star Game. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor has partnered with the NBA to promote community service in New Orleans. The All-Star Day of Service is the largest single-day volunteer event since Hurricane Katrina.

Mahalia Jackson Early Childhood and Family Learning Center

Lt. Gov. Landrieu will work with volunteers to build a new playground at the school

All-Star Celebration of Service
Jackson Square
