Statement of Lt. Governor Landrieu on DCRT Secretary Angele Davis' Gubernatorial Appointment as Commissioner of Administration
"It is with great pleasure that I announce that Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism Secretary Angele Davis has been chosen to serve as Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal's Commissioner of Administration.
"Secretary Davis, who has led the department since 2004, has been an extraordinary leader and public servant to the state of Louisiana. She has superbly directed the work of the department, helping it reach major milestones in the cultural and tourism industries. Under her direction, major initiatives that have contributed to the state's rebuilding efforts have been launched and developed. Her management of partnerships with state agencies, stakeholders and citizens has resulted in programs and services that have improved the lives and livelihoods of Louisiana residents. She has played an integral role in transforming the department into an organization that is recognized nationally for being high-performing, accountable and ethical.
