Renovations Begin on Black Bear Golf Club Bunkers
Bunker renovations at Black Bear Golf Club are scheduled to begin the week of September 28, and last approximately 60 days. Construction will only affect nine holes at a time to allow for continuous operation with nine playable holes available at reduced rates of $30 on weekdays and $37 on weekends, and the standard 9-hole rates.
Twenty three bunkers will be renovated with reshaping and new drainage equipment, filter systems and high quality sand. The purpose of the renovation is to improve the bunkers’ quality, playability and ability to maintain.

Black Bear Golf Club Receives Golfweek Recognition for 5th Consecutive Year
For the fifth consecutive year, Golfweek magazine has named Black Bear Golf Club in Delhi the number one public access course in Louisiana. The list released in the March issue touted TPC Louisiana at Fairfield in Avondale and Carter Plantation in Springfield, along with Black Bear Golf Club, in the top five-all of which are part of Louisiana's Audubon Golf Trail.
Black Bear is the only state owned and operated course in Louisiana - managed by the Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism. Located just six miles off Interstate 20, in Delhi, the course is adjacent to the Poverty Point Reservoir and State Park. READ MORE
