||There are three points I would like to make here:
1 A church is made up of the body of people in community who worship together. The SFC church community is in tact and would be better served by Holy Cross School improving the hurricane ravaged church building site.
2 The principal groups involved with this property, the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the Orleans Parish Government, the Board of SFC church, Holy Cross High School and the neighbors surrounding the property, side together in their desire to demolish the building there-by paving the way for property and neighborhood improvement.
3 While SFC may have been of architecturally significant form when it was built, it failed the test required of any sound design; it failed to keep out the elements. Is this not unlike designing a sleek and graceful airplane that fails to fly.
Let's get on with the rebuilding New Orleans and Holy Cross. Allow this building to be torn down.
