|| As a graduate of The Holy Cross School I am saddened by the destruction of the original school. Nevertheless, a new schol facility has to be built. If the Cabrini Church can co-exist with the school then that is the
easy answer. But if not, then the question of which is more important?
A Middle and High School for the Gentilly and surrounding areas or just the Church?
If I had my druthers, I would recommend a site in St. Charles Parish.
The population growth is tremendous. The draw would not only be from
St. Charles Parish, but from St. John and St. James Parishes. The only
Catholic High School in this area is St. Charles Catholic, which is on the
west bank of the Mississippi River. Anyway, I wish the school and Charlie Digange the best. I understand the school has been in New Orleans since 1879, but the survival of the school , its educational philosphy, and heartfelt traditions must go on. That is the reason to find a home suitable
for the Holy Cross School to continue.
