Comments: I am a graduate of The Holy Cross School. As much as it pains me and so many others to see our precious school depart from it historic location, let Holy Cross rebuild on this property. Giving the tremendous need to revive a city that is sick, what good will come from allowing this physical structure, the Church of St. Francis Cabrini, stand? The Archdiocese does not plan to reopen this church for use as a parish. Are there individuals and groups interested in putting forth money to make this church building a museum? This whole process--a delay in progress--seems silly to me, if I may be simple but to the point. What good would it be to the City of New Orleans for this storied institution of learning to move outside the city limit? Over the last 30-40 years, New Orleans has lost enough business and families to Jefferson Parish. In short, let Holy Cross rise again--physically-on this new property to continue providing a quality education in the Catholic Christian, Holy Cross tradition. Let us hold onto hope.
