Comments: I grew up in the neighborhood and attended Cabrini and SJA. The people are what makes a church, not the building. I've always thought it looks like a square brick block with a rocket ship on top. It may have architechural significance, but it's still ugly on the outside. What is the cost of refurbishing versus tearing it down and building a new church on the site with the Holy Cross name? Keep the Parish Hall and keep the Cabrini name on it. Right now it's more important to build a school that will attract families back to the area than to fight over an empty ugly building. Before people start getting angry about that comment, let me state again that the PEOPLE are the church, not the building. "For where two or more come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20
