||It is time to move forward in building Holy Cross School on the St. Francis Cabrini/Redeemer campus. Forums and meetings have been conducted and the Archdiocese has determined that it is not a viable option to rebuild the church. Emotions are high, but we need to use common sense. Allowing Holy Cross to establish roots in Gentilly can only be a positive in the revitalization of a devasted area of New Orleans. The future of our great city is at stake.
Ask any HC family if they would prefer to stay in the 9th Ward---if this was a viable option for the institution to continue educating young men, the answer is easy.
New Orleans and specifically Gentilly needs Holy Cross and Holy Cross needs Gentilly. It is all of our futures that are at stake. Let's do what is right for the greater good!!
