St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Church,5500 Paris Ave, New Orleans
Comments: Michel Ragon, French Architectural Historian in Paris has said that the destruction of this "building" since the Archdiocese refuses to call it a Church would be a great loss both to the history of modern architecture and to religious symbolism. I don't understand why Holy Cross refuses to consider incorporating the design into its "Master Plan". I am shocked at the stonewalling on the subject and refusal to consider a compromise. Doesn't set a good example for those of us "outsiders". Our taxdollars are paying for whatever gets done there and the blessed priest that insured Cabrini for flood insurance surely didn't envision the funds not being there for Cabrini and its parishoners. Save the church (building)!
