Specific
property
affected:
St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church
Comments: The Cabrini Church is a failed piece of architecture. The roof leaked continuously and it was a money pit in maintenance costs. The only thing historic about it is the debt that it took to keep it going. It serves no historical significance and should be torn down for the sake of progress. Holy Cross will be the driving force of bringing this once thriving community back to life. FEMA has been a bottleneck ever since Aug. 29, 2005 and it seems that the poeple of New Orleans continue to be held in this FEMA grid iron. For the good of this City, the community surrounding the church and for the boys who attend this HISTORIC school of 125+ years, demolish the structure and let us move on with getting our City and our schools back! The will of many should not be held up because of a few people. Do the right thing and demolish this structure TODAY!
