Comments: If the architect's wife wants a monument to her husband then she should build one. It should not be done at the expense of the revitalization of a neighborhood or at the expense of Holy Cross who will own the land. The very design of the building made it a maintenance diasater from the time is was constucted. Who is going to pay to provide the constant maintenance it requires?. Certainly Holy Cross should not be expected to pay for that. Holy Cross is critical to the education of our young men. People should always come first. For those who want to keep the building might I suggest they moved it to their backyards and maintain it. Having the building moved at the expense of its supporters to land they pay for needs to be on the table. Perhaps the church only worthy of preserving if it cost someone other than them?
