Comments: I grew up in St. Frances Cabrini's parish. I went to school there, baptized my son there, got married there and worked there for a total of 15 years. I still lived in the church parish at the time of the hurricane. I am hopeful and prayerful that the church will be torn down so our neighborhood can thrive again. I want to move back to my house. Tear the church down and let Holy Cross build their school so they can educate the future of New Orleans. The church was always in much need of repair. Things change over time and now we no longer need St. Frances Cabrini Church. Holy Cross has said we the neighbors will be allowed to use the chapel that they are going to build. There have been long time parishioners who say they want to one day attend their churhc again. If Holy cross does not build their school on the site then that property will be vacant for goodness knows how long. So they still will not be able to attend their church. St. Franaces Cabrini served many families over the last 40 years, but things change and we must change also.
