|St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church
||Moving from New Orleans to Savannah, GA has been a strain. I can immagine the strain that those who have stayed are still facing. But, not everything build Pre-Katrina is an historic property.
The preponderance of evidence in this instance points to this structure as NOT being an historic property. It was built too early to be part of Vatican II. I understand the architects feelings that the building is important. I'm sure that I would feel the same way if my 'child' was being demolished.
Beyond that, this building was barely functional as a church, has never been mechanically sound, and is a Hippie Era eye-sore.
Please allow the Archdiocese of New Orleans and Holy Cross High School to build a campus that serves the young men who will be educated on that ground.
