||The ravages of Katrina didn't impact Cabrini enough to tear her down. If Cabrini were structurally unsound I would promote tearing her down. Cabrini should not be demolished because of inconvenience.
Cabrini can and should be restored. Many people would donate money to save Cabrini.
If those morons who bulldozed the mahogany pews had sold them as salvage they could have had a very large amount of money right there. As Mrs. Gump said "stupid is as stupid does". Do you have any idea what that wood is worth to antique and classic boat people? They didn't appreciate what they had and they don't understand what they are now trying to destroy.
