affected:
5500 Paris Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana
Comments: I don't see the architect who designed the church offering to step up and pay for its renovation. The arch-dioceses of New Orleans has refused to rebuild the church. They are going to let the church fall down. Father Maestri supports Holy Cross taking over the property and demolishing the church. No one is offering to fix the church, so why keep the property from Holy Cross? Holy Cross has been doing an excellent job educating citizens for the future of our city and state. They deserve to be given a chance to make rebuild where it would have a huge revitalizing impact: Gentilly. The people who claim that Cabrini is "historic" had plenty of time to come out and say so when Holy Cross was looking at Cabrini as a possible site for the school. It is cowardly, underhanded, sneaky, and dishonest for these people to only come out of the wood-work after Holy Cross has announced its choice. Don't let Cabrini stand in the way of a better neighborhood and the recovery of Gentilly. Holy Cross deserves better, Gentilly deserves better, and the city deserves better.
