Welcome to Louisiana Cultural Assets Rescue
Welcome to the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism's Cultural Resource Community Website. This site has been specifically designed to serve as a clearinghouse, information center, and bulletin board for those in the cultural resource community. It is for those involved in cultural endeavors to publicly post their needs in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and it is for those wishing to provide goods, services, or support to those in need. Bulletin Board postings will be self-operating.

The site includes a registry for cultural practitioners, both individuals and organizations, to identify and locate artists, musicians, performers, arts administrators, preservationists, museum professionals, and craftsmen. The information gathered will help match needs to resources throughout the recovery.

We've listed some other websites with helpful information that you may wish to visit. Also, if you have comments or suggestions, please Contact Us. Your ideas are welcome. Finally, we wish to express our appreciation to all of those who have already made generous offers of support and assistance to those affected by Hurricane Katrina as we all work through the rebuilding process.

Sincerely,

Mitchell J. Landrieu
